Lesson II - Rules of Netiquette

This lesson is probably one of the most crucial and a must known information to prevent danger in the Internet. "Think before you click", they say -- we have to be cautious and responsible for what we do inside the world of technology. Social Networking Sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are prone to incidents with faults for not staying safe online. Passwords or even personal information are taken illegally due to low knowledge on maintaining safe accounts. I learned to provide the best and safest way on how to secure my accounts and devices away from web threats like malware, spam, and phishing. Giving credits to the rightful owner was also discussed in this lecture. The Copyright law will protect your original and own work. It is important to put your sources and ask for permission to avoid copyright infringement and plagiarism.


On May 5, 2000, a Filipino named Onel de Guzman created a computer worm commonly known as 'I LOVE YOU Virus' that spread to different countries which affected over 45 million computers and caused $5.5 billion damage.
