Lesson X - ICT as Platform for Change

The final lesson tackled about ICT and its important role for various changes like in Philippine's recent history. This taught us that it can be a pathway for society to liberate and unite the population for advocacy. An example for this is the Million People March that took place in Luneta Park from August 22-26, 2013 to protest about the Pork Barrel Scam of Janet Lim-Napoles. Another example is the website Change.org where anyone from the online community can start campaigns or petitions and ask the others to sign it. I, myself, participated and signed a petition to support #NetNeutrality last December 2017 and it is still ongoing with more than 2.5 million signs.

We were also tasked to visit a website that is an example of platform for change called 16Personalities and answered this free online personality test.

1. What makes this test interactive?
The test is interactive because the website allows the user to choose their answers freely regarding on what scenarios the questions provide; after finishing the 100 questions, the gathered data will be analysed and results will come shortly.

2. How did this website come up with your results?
The website 16Personalities based the results depending on how you react (whether you agree or disagree) to the 100 situations asked and matched your answers to the respective places in the 5 personality aspects namely Mind, Nature, Energy, Tactics and Identity.

3. Do you think the site is trustworthy? Do you think your results are believable?
Yes, I consider the website reliable and trustworthy. I've further read information regarding it which amazed me on how much data they have gathered to continually improve and make it more accurate. Yes, the results are indeed what I expected. As I read more information about my results, it makes me say that "it sure really is me."

According to the results, my personality type is The Architect (INTJ-A) which indicates that this type of person is imaginative and strategic thinkers with a plan for everything -- the same outcome when I answered this test last year.
